These terms apply to Starter Story and any other of Starter Story's sites, apps, communities on any platform, any of its meetups and/or any of its online or offline events or properties.

Non-legally binding terms (TL;DR)

Starter Story's sites are crowdsourced and have user generated content, so don't rely on the data.

We're not liable if you get hurt because of our site, app, data or meetups.

You allow us to publish the stuff you contribute to this site indefinitely.

When providing feedback (through the feedback form or any other way), you agree to let us use it to improve the site/app.

We collect analytics data including your IP, location and actions on this site to make it better (including through Google and other analytics services).

We also use your IP, location and actions on this site to personalize it (e.g. show you the nearest members to you)

If you use one of our APIs or data, you're required to link back to us at every page or in every app screen you use the data on.

You can only re-publish our data if it's for non-commercial objectives (e.g. not a company/startup)

If you excessivly promote your website/app/business/yourself on or spam any of our websites and/or communities, we have the right to ban you for life and not refund your membership payment as a fine for having to spend time to moderate you (otherwise you'll just sign up again too).

We accept no responsibility for any loss, injury or inconvenience resulting from using Starter Story's websites and apps. You should verify critical information.

Starter Story accepts no liability or responsibility to any person or organisation as a consequence of any reliance upon the information contained in its sites like Starter Story, Telegram chat, and any other of its sites and properties.

We collect data about your browser, IP, location for analytics purposes. We also use your location to show you nearby members. If you contribute content data to the site, the chat, you provide us with a perpetual license to broadcast, display, distribute, sell and produce derivatives from your contributions.

Every effort is made to provide information that is accurate. However, materials contained in Starter Story's websites, apps, communities and its properties are subject to change at any time by appropriate action of Starter Story. We give no assurance or warranty that information on this site is current, and take no responsibility for matters arising from changed circumstances or other information or material which may affect the accuracy or currency of information on this site.

Copyright in Starter Story's websites, apps, communities and its properties rests with Starter Story unless otherwise stated.

We reserve the right to permanently ban any user from our websites for behavior that goes against our guidelines. We will be the sole judge of behavior and we do not offer appeals or refunds in those cases.

By using Starter Story, you agree to not excessively promote your website, application, app, software, product, business or yourself by posting links to them on any of our platform sites or apps. Starter Story reserves the right to terminate your account and keep your membership fee as a fine.

Many of our websites, apps and communities contain user generated data that is subjective, may not be accurate or may be offensive to you. We are not liable for any damages that result from using this data.

The information posted on our websites, apps and communities should not be considered legal, financial or other advice and is not intended to replace consultation with a qualified professional or specific written confirmation from Starter Story. We do not answer specific legal or financial questions.

You user data may be used on any of our websites and apps including marketing pages to show current user activity.

When providing feedback (e.g. by identifying any errors or problems in the operations of Starter Story and its services) throug any medium (e.g. the feedback form, email or any other medium), you acknowledge and agree that all feedback will be the sole and exclusive property of Starter Story. You hereby assign to Starter Story and agree to assign to Starter Story all of your right and interesting in and to all feedback, including all intellectual property rights therein.

You agree to indemnify Starter Story (its employees and agents) for any loss suffered or liability incurred by Starter Story (its employees and agents) arising from any unlawful, unauthorised or improper access or use of the Website or any breach of these terms by you or your employees, contractors or representatives.

Starter Story does not guarantee constant availability of Website access and accept no liability for down time or access failure due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control (including any failure by ISP or system provider).

The Site may contain links to other sites on the internet (“Linked Sites”). Starter Story is not responsible for the accuracy, legality, decency of material or copyright compliance of any Linked Site or services or information provided via any Linked Site.

No data transmission over the Internet can be guaranteed as totally secure. Whilst we strive to protect such information we do not warrant and cannot ensure the security of information which you transmit to us. Accordingly, any information which you transmit to us is transmitted at your own risk.

These terms and conditions will be constructed according to and are governed by the laws of Amsterdam, The Netherlands, regardless of where Starter Story operates or you use Starter Story from.

Starter Story Build – Pricing & Payment Terms

Program Pricing. The cost for each Starter Story Build program is displayed on the Site at the time of purchase. Payment is due in full upon enrollment. Build programs are sold as a one-time purchase and are not recurring. Each purchase grants access to the specific program selected at checkout.

Refunds. All fees are fully earned upon payment. Refunds, credits, or transfers are not permitted under any circumstances.

Updates to Pricing and Programs. We may change pricing, update program content, or introduce new features or services at any time in our sole discretion. Any changes to pricing will apply only to future purchases and will not affect prior purchases. However, we may update or modify the curriculum or program content after your enrollment, and such updates will apply to all participants, including those who have already purchased.

Payment. You agree to provide a valid payment method at the time of purchase. You authorize us (and our third-party payment processors) to charge the payment method provided for the full amount due.

Special Offers. From time to time, we may enable promotional offers or discounted pricing for certain groups or limited-time enrollments. If you qualify and enroll through such an offer, the advertised terms will apply to that purchase only.

Access. Upon successful payment, you will receive access to the purchased program as described at the time of enrollment. Access is limited to the purchased program and does not include other programs, services, or future offerings unless expressly stated.

Mobile Terms of Service

The Starter Story mobile message service (the "Service") is operated by Starter Story (“Starter Story”, “we”, or “us”). Your use of the Service constitutes your agreement to these terms and conditions (“Mobile Terms”). We may modify or cancel the Service or any of its features without notice. To the extent permitted by applicable law, we may also modify these Mobile Terms at any time and your continued use of the Service following the effective date of any such changes shall constitute your acceptance of such changes.

By consenting to Starter Story’s SMS/text messaging service, you agree to receive recurring SMS/text messages from and on behalf of Starter Story through your wireless provider to the mobile number you provided, even if your mobile number is registered on any state or federal Do Not Call list. Text messages may be sent using an automatic telephone dialing system or other technology. Service-related messages may include updates, alerts, and information (e.g., order updates, account alerts, etc.). Promotional messages may include promotions, specials, and other marketing offers (e.g., cart reminders).

You understand that you do not have to sign up for this program in order to make any purchases, and your consent is not a condition of any purchase with Starter Story. Your participation in this program is completely voluntary.

We do not charge for the Service, but you are responsible for all charges and fees associated with text messaging imposed by your wireless provider. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Check your mobile plan and contact your wireless provider for details. You are solely responsible for all charges related to SMS/text messages, including charges from your wireless provider.

You may opt-out of the Service at any time. Text the single keyword command STOP to [insert your sending number] or click the unsubscribe link (where available) in any text message to cancel. You'll receive a one-time opt-out confirmation text message. No further messages will be sent to your mobile device, unless initiated by you. If you have subscribed to other Starter Story mobile message programs and wish to cancel, except where applicable law requires otherwise, you will need to opt out separately from those programs by following the instructions provided in their respective mobile terms.

For Service support or assistance, text HELP to [insert your sending number] or email [email protected].

We may change any short code or telephone number we use to operate the Service at any time and will notify you of these changes. You acknowledge that any messages, including any STOP or HELP requests, you send to a short code or telephone number we have changed may not be received and we will not be responsible for honoring requests made in such messages.

The wireless carriers supported by the Service are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. You agree to provide us with a valid mobile number. If you get a new mobile number, you will need to sign up for the program with your new number.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree that we will not be liable for failed, delayed, or misdirected delivery of any information sent through the Service, any errors in such information, and/or any action you may or may not take in reliance on the information or Service.
